IN.SIGHT (2025)

Fabia's new orchestral album IN.SIGHT, to be released July 25th, 2025, marks a deeply personal and introspective chapter in her artistic journey. Created in just five months, the record explores trust, surrender, and hope—woven through lush orchestral textures, intimate songwriting, and improvisation. Featuring guest soloists including Anat Cohen, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Momi Maiga, IN.SIGHT is an invitation to look inward, listen deeply, and connect through sound.

Her debut album EM.PERIENCE was described as “breathtaking” and “epic” (New York Music Daily), blending a wide spectrum of voices, harmonies, and instruments to form a bold, holistic sound. It features renowned soloists Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ben Wendel, and Nils Landgren. Where EM.PERIENCE reflected outward experiences and places, her debut album. IN.SIGHT is more intimate - rooted in inner landscapes and emotional truth.

Mantwill and her orchestra have received wide acclaim, with features in Jazzwise, JazzThing, Jazzthetik, CONCERTO (A), and performances on Deutschlandfunk, NDR, SWR, and national television (ARD, NDR). In 2021, she was awarded the GERMAN JAZZ PRIZE for her arrangement of Ophelia.

She has worked with artists such as Vince Mendoza, Kurt Elling, Becca Stevens, and the Metropole Orkest, and composed for the National Scottish Jazz Orchestra, Radiojazzgruppen Sweden and the Equilibrium Orchestra in Minsk, and others. Since 2022, she serves as artistic director of the Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Her live performances have taken her to iconic venues such as the Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), Apollo Theater (New York City), and Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), as well as festivals like Jazz Baltica, Elbjazz, and XJAZZ. She is an alumna of the Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead Residency and the Banff International Workshop for Jazz & Creative Music.

Mantwill’s music is both precise and free, structured and spontaneous. Her orchestra becomes a space for storytelling, experimentation, and shared musical curiosity - a living ensemble shaped by intuition, vulnerability, and collective sound.
